The World Travel Market (WTM) 2014 Industry Report of a survey of 1,229 UK industry executives revealed that
More than 60 per cent of respondents said that responsible tourism will increase over the next three years, 30% say it will increase significantly
86% perceived sustainability to be important to their business.
10% per cent said that sustainability is of central importance to their business,
40% responded that it is very important,
36% rated it as quite important, and
only 14% said it was not very important, or not important at all.
Based on a survey of 1,011, one third of UK holidaymakers say they consider responsible tourism when booking a holiday.
